The brief for this colourful brand glow up was to “create a brand that is vibrant, energetic, and uplifting and that also positions The Academy of Modern Celebrancy (AMC) as experts in its field.”
Founder and CEO Jennifer Claire Constant is the face of the AMC brand, and she’s known for her rockstar energy, enthusiasm and magenta pink lipstick! She wanted the brand to feel more aligned with her personal brand and The Celebrant Directory, another brand we’ve worked together on in the past.
This brand glow up was part of a wider strategic rebrand and SEO project, which I’ve written about in depth on the blog.
The reason behind this colourful brand glow up
When The Academy of Modern Celebrancy launched, it was one of only a handful of Celebrant training providers, and it completely disrupted the industry. The Academy was and is dedicated to providing high-quality training, delivered online with online resources, Facebook groups and a heavy focus on business and marketing support.
The Academy is dynamic and bold, a far cry from the stuffy and stifled celebrants of the past, in dull suits. Academy students are encouraged to embrace their unique skills and showcase their personalities to create wildly successful celebrant businesses.
They approached me because they wanted a brand that stood out in the industry, reflected their dynamic personality and values, and felt modern, vibrant, uplifting, and inspiring.
The existing brand has become a mishmash of evolving styles, there were no clear brand guidelines or templates, so their sales pages all looked completely different from the rest of the website and their social media platforms were completely inconsistent. They didn’t look like the industry-leading experts that they are.
Now, they have a cohesive brand that’s packed full of personality, with clear brand guidelines that can be shared with the growing team to keep everyone on brand.
A bold brand colour palette
The Academy of Modern Celebrancy is one of four brands owned by Jennifer Claire Constant. So we wanted to give it a distinct identity and also align it with its sister brands for brand recognition.
Balancing the professionalism of the business as an accredited Celebrant training provider with the aspirational and exciting side of the brand took some tweaking. It felt like a brave move for founder Jen, who worried that it might feel like a step too far from the original brand. But the vibrant colour palette felt instantly uplifting and aligned with the brand’s personality, and it also matched its fun-loving audience and celebrants.
We paired sunshine yellow with bold magenta and indigo and added contrast with a soft collection of lemon, sky blue and lilac.

Brand symbols & social media templates
I wanted to give the AMC team brand elements that could be used across the site, social media and marketing collateral, so I created a series of Celebrant-specific symbols that could be used in a range of colours. With some brand direction from me, Jen had her graphic designer create some bespoke social media templates so she now has a cohesive brand identity across all platforms.
A colourful website redesign
The Academy of Modern Celebrancy has an incredible web developer who took the web design and applied it across the site. The main pages of the site were completely rewritten for conversion, SEO and brand messaging, and the results were stunning.
We colour-coded the Academy’s main courses to differentiate the audiences (Funeral Celebrants and Wedding Celebrants) and added up-to-date imagery from AMC’s students and mentors.
The rebrand was received so well by the AMC audience and they have seen record-breaking sales results in the six-months since undertaking this project. Read more about the project here.
