BE MORE YOU | BRAND STRATEGIST, DESIGNER & SEO EXPERT
2020 has been unusual, to say the least, especially for us business owners and since most of us have spent the best part of the year holed up in our home offices here are some well-earned girl boss gift ideas for the boss babe in your life.
There are some great gift ideas for female entrepreneurs here and you’ll also find some fun client gift ideas as well.
Generous Gifts
iPad Pro – From £749
It’s hard to take over the world with a crappy old PC. The iPad pro brings the power of a desktop to your handbag. Great for those who want to travel light but who need to take their business with them.
If you feel like pushing the boat out here are some of my favourite gift ideas for that luxury lady in your life

Liforme White Magic Yoga Mat – £135
There’s no better way to destress your mind and body than a yoga session at the end of a long day. Will this mat make you more flexible? No but this beautifully designed yoga mat does have lines that make it easier to get your alignment right. It comes in a range of instagrammable colours.

Liberty London Beauty Calendar – £215 (worth £790)
I fell in love with beauty advent calendars a few years ago when a friend bought me Benefit makeup calendar. It was great fun opening the doors every day to receive a little treat. Then my husband then bought me the Charlotte Tilbury one and I was hooked!
I’ve hunted high and low for the best Advent Calendar out there and this year’s Liberty’s Beauty Advent Calendar takes the biscuit! It’s packed full of luxury beauty treats for your favourite girl boss.

Wellness Girl Boss Gifts
Good Vibes Only Gift Box – $88
To say I’m a little bit obsessed with J Isabel designs would be an understatement, their beautifully curated gift boxes are simply divine. This beautiful gift box comes in their signature wooden gift box and includes a lip balm, gem soap, bath tablet, essential oils wipes, and a mini smudge kit.

The Yoga Collection (DoTerra) – £70.40
I’m a big fan of essential oils, they can perform wonders, especially when it come to concentration and relaxation and since they last a long time, it’s a wonderfully thoughtful gift that won’t disappear overnight.
DoTerra oils are known for their quality. Their yoga collection is trio of essential oil blends designed to steady, centre, and enlighten your spirit.

Well Spray – The Beauty Chef – £18
Recommended to me by the insanely beautiful Jessica Hanlon Photography in Stockholm, this supplement in a spray is not only delicious but it’s a nice little pick me up to add to your mid-day self-care routine

Essential Oil Diffuser – £17.99- £29.99
I love my diffuser so much I bought my assistant one and I even sent one to my Dad’s office. They are a great way to manage your energy and mood and make your office space smell amazing all at the same time!
Choose one with a large enough capacity that you don’t need to refill it multiple times a day. I got mine off Amazon – here’s a similar one.

Lacrosse Massage therapy Ball £5.99
A lacrosse ball might have been the last thing you expected to see on a gift list for girl bosses but text neck and tight wrists are an occupational hazard for those of us living the laptop life – it’s important to release the pressure that builds up by rolling out your wrists and relieving the pressure points in your neck and lower back (You’ll need 2 to do this).
There are plenty of YouTube videos from qualified physiotherapists to show you how to do it properly.

Lavender Eye Mask – Elizabeth Scarlett – £22
Running a business can be exhausting at times, so you want to be well-rested. Sleep specialist (and dear friend of mine) Nick Witton recommends using a sleep mask to help optimise your sleep.
Anyone who knows me, knows I’m OBSESSED with elephants so I’m completely in love with this velvet-lined and lavender filled one from Elizabeth Scarlett

Lavender & Flaxseed Eye Pillow – £15
According to Yoga Teacher Gemma Witcomb, light pressure on the eyeballs can actually lower your heart rate, so we should all be resting our tired eyes with an eye pillow at the end of a long day in front of the screen.

This gorgeous one from Made by Coopers is made with dried lavender petals and no artificial fragrances.
Stationery Gifts for Girl Bosses
Stationery Advent Calendar – £89
Martha Beck’s advent calendars are a thing of beauty and possibly the most instagrammable thing you can gift your favourite boss babe.

Dream Planner – £6
A dream without a plan is just a wish, so I LOVE this Dream roadmap pad set by Kikki K which encourages you to take action on your dreams.

Notebook Gifts – From £3
A girl boss can never have too many notebooks! It’s no secret my favourite notebooks are made by Fringe Studio – I have about 10 of their spiral notepads. They’re based out of South Carolina so the best place to find them in the UK is TK Maxx.

Personalised Pouch – £16.99
Katie Hoxton’s perfect pouches are adaptable, use them as a grown-up pencil case, makeup bag or makeshift handbag. Embossed with upbeat sentiments and available in a range of colours they make beautiful gifts, there’s also the option to personalise.

Winning at Life Mug – Oliver Bonas – £10
Sometimes us girl bosses need a boost and this M ug will provide a daily reminder that we’re all doing better than we think!

Mute your Microphone Mug – £7
After a year of skype and zoom calls who could fail to be amused by this hilarious mug by Typo

Books for Female Entrepreneurs
Best For Mindset – Tara Mohr – Playing Big
Tara Mohr has spent a large part of her career coaching high achieving women to dream big and go for their goals. Playing big offers a road map for women to overcome their inner critic and reframe fear and is a must read for any female entrepreneur.
Best for Money Mindset – Denise Duffield Thomas – Get Rich Lucky Bitch
Don’t be put off by the name or the simplicity of its message, Initially I resisted reading this book, and then wanted to buy it for every single person I know! So many of us have a messed up relationship with money and this is the first book I’ve read that helped me move past my own.
Best for Inspiration – Alchemy – Rory Sunderland
I highly recommend getting the audio version of this book because the author is hilarious! In his role of Vice Chairman of Ogilvy UK Sunderland got to see so many insights into our buying and behavioural psyche. This book is a stark reminder that sometimes thinking outside the box is the best way!
Best for Business – Donald Miller – Marketing Made Easy
It was a difficult choice between this book and his previous one Building a Story Brand – ideally I’d recommend reading both, but for practical, actionable tips this one just pips it. From how to structure your website to proven email templates it has it all. What I love most is that he doesn’t over complicate it. You could read this book in a weekend and supercharge your business straight away.
Best for building positive habits – Atomic Habits – James Clear
Often the path to entrepreneurial success requires a complete overhaul of your standard patterns and habits. This book by James Clear suggests actionable ways to improve your habits through tiny, daily changes.
Glow Up Gifts
There’s no doubt about it, social media puts pressure on us all to be a lot more visible which brings with it a whole host of added pressure. We’re all having to become our own Instagram celebrity – These glow up gifts level the playing field just a little bit
Ring Light – £125.99
I could not LIVE without my Ring light for my live streams, it’s lightweight, fully adjustable with both warm and cool lighting – I bloody love it and so will the girl boss in your life.
I opted for the Neewer 20 inc LED from Amazon, there are smaller versions if you need a desktop option.

Edible Gifts
Booja Booja Award Winning Truffles – From £9.99
Organic, Vegan and delicious. Booja Booja brings all the treats without the dairy!

Bloom Coffee Subscription- From £12.00 a month
It’s no secret that most Girl Bosses are running on coffee! And The Good Life is some of the best I’ve tried. Roasted and packed to order, ethically sourced and they even print your name on the label! Bloom for the cafetiere is my current favourite.

Mama P Bakes Sweet Treats Box – £20
Perhaps it’s her obsession with Harry Potter that makes Jennie a Wizard in the Kitchen, but every morsel in her sweet treat’s box is a melt in the mouth delight. It’s the flavours that will blow your mind – the honeycomb fudge is my personal favourite swiftly followed by her biscotti blodie but her signature Macarons and traybakes are also divine.
This micro-business already has a cult following and she now offers boxes by post for UK addresses. Early ordering is recommended.
